    I always felt that there is nothing a common man can get when you knock on the door of these big music labels. All they want is to shove a bunch of less than average tracks along with a few hit singles and charge skyrocket rates.

    Artists arent that greedy, its the freakin producers. I hope google finds a way to beat their greed.

    I wonder what the revenue model is that Google is envisaging for the future. It is easy to say let’s give 500 tracks for free, but really, how many people need more than 500 tracks in their life? Especially if you can keep dynamically updating this cache of 500? And so, if no money is forthcoming, are we saying artists should give content away for free? Why not books then? And movies?
