The Senior Vice President, Sales is responsible and accountable for the overall operations, efficiencies and results of his/her designated Label Group Sales department and the strategic applications for all commercial physical and digital content development and sales activity. The position also includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Primary liaison for designated Label sales division for all sales information with label senior management, artist management , SME, GDB, customers and trade organizations.
Initiate and implement all content development strategies including retail plans, pricing, discounts, analysis, forecasting and production in collaboration with finance approved budgets and p+l’s in order to attain monthly forecast and annual BP goals.
Top level negotiations on behalf of all repertoire with all digital, physical and subscription customers.
Collaborative efforts with Commercial Music Group / Legacy for all physical and digital catalog sales and marketing initiatives.
Oversee all product development and field marketing initiatives.
Provide management direction for the sales team in order to attain appropriate career goals and improved skill sets.
Desired Skills & Experience
College degree or equivalent senior management experience including finance, business affairs, international, production, marketing, digital marketing and new technology. Strong product knowledge and advanced understanding of the general marketplace are required.
Positive approach, sound judgment and the ability to multi task are critical as the position requires the ability to focus and prioritize all important issues to achieve maximum results at all times.
Skill set requires in depth information evaluation, acute problem solving and rapid decisiveness in addition to recognizing new trends, reading the marketplace and innovative approaches to achieving goals.
Company profitability and fiscal accountability is required. This position interacts with all departments within the corporation and all external contacts. Building and maintaining strong relationships is paramount to achieving success.
