Responsibilities
Role Purpose The VP of Production & Project Management will report to the Senior Vice President of Brand & Creative and have two key charges:
Manage all on-going production activities in support of G4 Marketing, interfacing with key stakeholders in scheduling, program development, digital, PR, sales, publicity, etc.
Develop and overseeing channel-wide operational processes aimed at creating synergy between marketing and all other key areas of the business Responsibilities
Plan and manage the physical production of all creative materials for all media platforms on and off the network
Interface regularly with marketing heads as well as other creative/business leaders across the network to establish business and promotional priorities
Develop and implement logistical, budgetary, staffing, and scheduling scenarios to support business and promotional priorities
Present marketing and channel-wide logistical plans/solutions to senior management as needed to ensure clarity and consistency of creative work
Develop and manage a transparent financial model that ensures budget accuracy as well as communicating in a clear and user-friendly manner
Oversee and grow a team of project managers and other logistical personnel to accomplish goals, engender investment, and build future leaders
Ensure an innovative, positive, and solution-oriented environment aimed at always finding a way to support great ideas that will move the brand and business forward
In concert with VP of Creative and Director of Production, develop and communicate logistical plans to support promo schedule including the assignment of key creative and operational personnel
Implement consistent processes and best-practices across a variety of marketing/creative disciplines including broadcast promotions, digital marketing, marketing oriented web content, VOD content, print, collateral, radio, presentation tapes/materials, ad sales materials, and events
Negotiate and close both large and small scale deals with advertising agencies, production companies, post-production companies, talent agencies/reps, union paymasters, and other third party providers/managers (interfacing with finance and legal as needed)
Oversee on-set production personnel to ensure best-in-class productions as well as smart efficiencies and economies of scale
Develop and manage laser sharp long term, short term, and project-based scheduling systems
In concert with key technical personnel and G4 broadcast, spearhead any technical initiatives ensuring state-of-the-art, efficient solutions
Lead the charge to identify new creative and production partners who can elevate the overall profile of the network and the quality of its output
Liaise with external personnel to ensure G4 partners receive timely production support and materials
Act as a core brand guardian, understanding and protecting the style and substance of the G4 brand
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 10 years of television promotion experience
Technical/Computer proficiency in Mac environment Requirements

Willingness to travel to shoots as needed and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
Must be willing to work in Los Angeles
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must have a work samples (budgets, production documents, schedules etc) that demonstrates work experience
Must be able to provide a reel/portfolio of work examples (specifically but not exclusively broadcast promotions) — if available, include a web address when you submit your resume

Understand deeply all facets/phases of broadcast production (both clip and shot spots) including briefing, concepting, scripting, pitching, final cut/avid editing, online, VFX, sound design, music, VO, mixing and any and all other areas of pre and post production
Understand deeply the mechanics and architecture of a broadcast television package including IDs, menus, billboards, credit squeezes, violators, bugs etc.
Understand deeply promo scheduling, tagging, asset delivery – including the ability to oversee Associate Producers’ delivery of final materials for broadcast
Understand deeply how to support sales marketing including the production of integrated marketing vehicles and stewardship of Upfront materials and events
Having a strong command of digital production, motion graphics, print production, collateral production, and event management
Have excellent negotiation skills
Have a strong background in dealing with celebrity talent in terms of logistical management and deal making
Have a strong understanding of union and non-union pay scales and the ability to manage internal and external paymasters
Have a finely honed set of external resources to support all areas of the business
Have a mastery of all relevant and up-to-date budgeting and scheduling software
Have a strong understanding of live-action production, and the ability to manage on-set production personnel
Be a self-starter who is assertive, enthusiastic and highly motivated
