VP, Digital Sales & Marketing (Subscription Services) – WMG (New York)

Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for all aspects of managing the day-to-day businesses for multiple U.S.-based subscription accounts such as Rhapsody, Emusic, and Rdio.
Identify opportunities and implement plans for revenue/consumption/market share growth at account base.
Direct oversight and reporting responsibility for subscription category account managers
Provide account insights on revenue opportunities that are applicable to the broader subscription services category
Proactively participates in the execution plan with internal and external partners to implement those identified opportunities at account base
Maintain strong knowledge of partners’ goals and business strategy and communicate information internally to the company, labels, business development, and analysis teams.
Works closely with operations team to streamline and ensure efficient process/procedure in product setup, delivery, and timely go-live at multiple U.S.-based subscription accounts
Support label marketing objectives in coordination with affiliates on international setup for key releases
Stay up-to-date with competitive landscape, strategy, implementation, etc.
Work closely with research/analysis teams to provide timely data to labels, business development and senior management.
Coordinate scheduling and execution of business reviews with multiple U.S.-based accounts
Directly engage accounts and analysis in identifying consumer behaviors and trends that directly impact revenue amongst subscription partners
Communicate partner plans on territory expansion and coordinate rollout with affiliates/operations
Required Competencies/Skills:
Collaborate with labels in development, negotiation, and execution of marketing and advertising programs.
Create, present, and execute creative marketing plans in order to achieve specific goals with regard to new releases and catalog.
Ability to identify and articulate strategic opportunities in senior management settings
Manage the complete and timely flow of communication between WEA, our label partners, and the account.
Maintain superior understanding of accounts’ major marketing initiatives, systems, and logistical processes.
Responsible for developing strong relationships at every level of the account, this includes senior management, the editorial, marketing, operations, logistics, credit, and finance teams.
Offer intelligence on account SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats).
Consistently inform WEA management of all competitive policies and practices.
Special Requirements/Preferences:
A passion and interest in developing artists and music,
An understanding of digital music services,
A strong working knowledge of ad-supported services & business models.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to take direction and execute specific outlined initiatives.
Ability to work under pressure, communicates effectively, and meets deadlines.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred
5-7+ years sales experience as a primary account manager or similar position
