Honestly? The sales for Samsung has gone through the roof on this. The Jury doesn’t have a clue on how technology works and should never be in a case such as this. They need to have advisers, or at least technical people overseeing the case and helping the judge make the decision in a more informed manner. to have a case tried in California, the home of Apple, is a joke. It should have been held in a place much further away so that the “home team” does not have a tactical advantage.

Sooner or later, Apple will back themselves into a corner with the lawsuits and it will bite them in the rear. I know of many folks that are not going to iPhone or iPad because of the lawsuits.

Apple has always had it’s ebb and flow, and since the passing of such an autocratic figurehead, it’s current performance is to be expected, while Apple finds it’s footing again.

Socialist UK ye right. The UK is a free market economy i think your confusing us with France. The US is one of the most protectionist countries in the world except for US companies. Would the US allow Verizon to be bought by a foreign company?!!

Also English Law is most widely used in the world for commercial contracts etc

Apple is in slow decline. It has not had one significant victory across the world against samsung but i do expect them to win the US case as the US courts generally favour US comapnies

I’ll go further and say this lawsuit will be the start of the end of Apple. They couldn’t have picked a more formidable opponent for a patent war and now they’ll pay the price for their hubris. My prediction is apple will go bust by 2016.

I wouldn’t use the socialist UK model to determine how things went wrong for Apple.

If you look @ the states and for that matter the rest of the world maybe, I don’t see a single Samsung tablet commercial. Yet I see Apple regularly putting out another iPad commercial like every two months.

And everywhere where read, some hotel, restaurant or airline are using iPads- this makes for direct client interaction and even more sales.

And finally, in 10 days, or less, the court case starts in the US. Already one tablet has been banned. I think Samsung’s going to lose the court case and end up having to pull products and pay Apple maybe billions in damages.

Then we’ll see what all that “free” publicity got Samsung.
