Sunset Studio, one of the few remaining recording studios in Hollywood after many closed due to high costs and new technologies, faces a danger worse than a single wild rock star. Pitchfork Effect

Last week, media company Condé Nast revealed its plan...

Several years ago, during a Grammy afterparty, I found myself wandering around in search of a place to enjoy a quiet dinner. Lost in the sea of faces, I suddenly heard my name being called from behind. Turning around, I was pleasantly surprised to see a well-known manager beckoning me to join his table. As I took my seat, I discovered that fate had placed me next to none other than the incredible Tina Turner herself.

Tina exuded a magnetic aura, complemented by her radiant smile and warm presence. Her humility and genuine down-to-earth demeanor instantly made me feel at ease in her presence. It quickly became apparent that she possessed a sweetness that was beyond compare, making her one of the most approachable and amiable individuals one could ever imagine.

Throughout the entire evening, Tina and I found ourselves engrossed in delightful conversations, sharing stories, and exchanging laughter. We discovered a mutual connection with several individuals in the industry, leading us to gossip about a lame  producer she had worked with prior to her big comeback.

In retrospect, that evening served as a reminder of the beautiful connections that can be formed in unexpected situations. Tina Turner’s presence and our delightful encounter reaffirmed the power of genuine human connections, transcending fame and success.

I’ll never forget it.
